Why I Feel Guilty 10 Years After my Mum’s Death – Cubana Chief Priest

Celebrity businessman and nightlife promoter, Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has opened up about his late mother’s unfulfilled dream for him to become a Catholic priest.
In a Instagram post, the socialite revealed that his mother prayed fervently for a child for more than six years and vowed to God that one of her children would serve in the priesthood.
He narrated how, after the birth of his elder brother Onyinyechukwu (“Gift from God”), his mother gave birth to him amid severe complications, leading her to name him Chibuike, meaning “God is my strength.”
According to him, his mother strongly desired that he become a Catholic priest, and he even attempted to gain admission into the seminary.
However, the dream was never realized. Reflecting on it, he wrote:
“Many are called but few are chosen. Next year will make it 10 years since I lost my mom, and everyone who knows my real story will testify that after she made it to heaven, my story changed for good. Every day, I live with the guilt that I disappointed my mama by not becoming a Catholic priest. She wanted to be called Mama Father, but instead I became the ChiefPriest.”
Cubana Chief Priest explained that although he never fulfilled his mother’s wish to join the priesthood, he still considers himself to be doing God’s work in different ways.
To honour her memory, he also announced plans to release a thanksgiving Catholic Christian song, featuring rapper Zoro and produced by ace beatmaker Masterkraft.
