President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says the Federal Government will not relent in its efforts to secure the lives and property of Nigerians, following the rescue of abducted worshippers in Kwara State and students in Niger State.

The President, in a message to Nigerians on Saturday, said he cancelled his planned trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally coordinate security operations across the country.

He confirmed that all 38 worshippers kidnapped in Eruku, Kwara State, had been rescued, while 51 of the abducted students of a Catholic school in Niger State had also been recovered.

Tinubu stated that he has been receiving continuous updates from security chiefs and monitoring developments as operations intensify nationwide.

He assured citizens that his administration remains fully committed to restoring peace across all states, stressing that every Nigerian has the right to live without fear.

According to the President, his government will continue to support security agencies to ensure the safe return of the remaining abducted persons and prevent future attacks.

Tinubu reaffirmed his determination to secure the nation, insisting that protecting Nigerians remains his top priority.
