The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Ekiti State University (EKSU) branch, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his timely intervention in averting an impending industrial dispute in the institution.

This was contained in a statement signed by the EKSU-SSANU Chairman and Special Adviser on Special Duties to the National President of SSANU, Mr. Temidayo Azeez Aguda, FCIML, on Monday in Ado-Ekiti.

Aguda appreciated the thoughtfulness and promptness of the consultations convened among all stakeholders of the university at the instance of the Governor, who is also the Visitor to the institution.

He described the intervention as a clear demonstration of the commitment of the university management, the Alumni Association leadership, and the state government to sustaining industrial harmony and an uninterrupted academic calendar.

The union reaffirmed its members’ commitment to the continued progress and development of the university, pledging their best efforts to maintain productivity and stability.

Aguda, however, appealed that members’ legitimate rights and privileges be given due attention, adding that SSANU remains a reliable partner in the collective growth of EKSU and the advancement of the state’s education sector.
