Senator Fasuyi Empowers 35 Ekiti North Women Through Adire Training

The Senator representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, Cyril Fasuyi, has empowered 35 young women across the district through an intensive training programme in Adire production.
The initiative in collaboration with the office of the Ekiti State First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, is designed to equip participants with entrepreneurial skills that will provide sustainable livelihoods and alternative income opportunities.
Beneficiaries were drawn from all local government areas within the district, reflecting what organisers described as the senator’s inclusive leadership style.
Speaking on behalf of Senator Fasuyi during a visit to the training centre, his Director of Media, Hon. Ameobi Abimbola, urged the trainees to maximize the opportunity.
“Adire production can serve as a steady source of income even for those pursuing white-collar jobs,” she said, while encouraging participants to collaborate by pooling resources to start small-scale businesses.
Abimbola further disclosed that Senator Fasuyi will provide financial support to the beneficiaries at the end of the programme to help them launch their ventures.
The participants, in their response, expressed gratitude to the senator for the opportunity, describing the training as life-changing.
The scheme adds to Senator Fasuyi’s growing list of empowerment programmes, which she says are aimed at promoting self-reliance, strengthening women’s economic participation, and building a stronger future for Ekiti North.
