The Senator representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, Cyril Fasuyi, has empowered 20 students from the district with high-spec HP laptops and ₦50,000 each in academic support, in a bid to foster a digitally skilled and innovative generation.
The presentation ceremony, held at the APC Party Office in Ido-Ekiti on November 7, 2025, forms part of Sen. Fasuyi’s initiative, which he announced on October 21, 2025, to strengthen youth capacity in technology, innovation, and education.
According to a statement issued by Team Cyril Media, the beneficiaries, drawn from both public and private tertiary institutions across the country, include students of Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, and Computer Education.
Senator Fasuyi urged the recipients to remain focused and disciplined in their academic pursuits, encouraging them to serve as exemplary ambassadors of Ekiti North Senatorial District. He further assured students in other disciplines that additional empowerment packages tailored to their fields would be unveiled in due course.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Miss Christianah Wale-Ajayi expressed gratitude to the Senator, pledging that the recipients would uphold excellence and represent their district with honour and integrity.
The initiative is part of Senator Fasuyi’s broader commitment to human capital development across Ikole, Oye, Ido/Osi, Moba, and Ilejemeje local government areas, emphasizing his belief in the potential of youth to drive positive change and development in society.
The empowerment package is expected to significantly enhance the academic and professional pursuits of the beneficiaries, equipping them with the tools and support needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
