Rivers Governor Fubara Returns to Hero’s Welcome, Vows to Serve People -

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Friday returned to Port Harcourt to a rousing welcome, promising that his administration will continue to serve in the best interest of the people.

The governor, who was received by a massive crowd at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and solidarity, describing the reception as a reaffirmation of the bond between his government and the people.

‘Your Love Humbles Me’ — Fubara

Speaking after arriving at the Government House, Port Harcourt, Fubara said he was deeply humbled by the warm reception.

“I want to appreciate the wonderful people of Rivers State. What I saw at the airport really humbled me. It was not just a celebration, but a display of love, confidence, and solidarity with this government,” he said.

The governor assured residents that his administration would remain focused on policies and programmes that continue to earn their trust and support.

Governor to Address Rivers State at 6 p.m.

Fubara disclosed that he would make a state broadcast at 6 p.m. to officially thank the people and acknowledge all stakeholders who contributed to restoring calm and stability in the state.

“We are going to address the state officially by 6 p.m., and in that broadcast, we will appreciate everyone that brought normalcy to Rivers State,” he announced.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to building on the renewed confidence of the people, stressing: “We will, by the grace of God, continue to do those things that have made you love us.”
