Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has applauded members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for conducting themselves peacefully and harmoniously during the ward congress held on Saturday ahead of the governorship primary scheduled for Monday.
The Governor gave the commendation at his Ikogosi Ward 6, where he participated in the exercise that produced delegates for the forthcoming primary election.
Arriving at the venue around 11:50 a.m., Oyebanji said the peaceful conduct of members reflected the growing unity, maturity, and discipline that define the APC in Ekiti State.
Governor Confident of APC Victory in 2026
Governor Oyebanji expressed optimism that the APC would record a clean sweep in all 177 wards across the state during the June 2026 governorship election, saying the party’s growing popularity was rooted in his administration’s performance.
He stated that his government’s achievements in infrastructure, human capital development, and transparency have attracted new members from opposition parties who now identify with the APC.
“You can see that our members are happy and united. Delegates are being elected by consensus across wards, which shows the strong bond between leadership and membership,” Oyebanji said.
“With God on our side, by June 20 next year, APC will make history by winning all the 177 wards in Ekiti State,” he declared confidently.
