“Our Future Is Bright with BAO” — Ekiti Youths Declare Unwavering Support for Oyebanji

Youths across Ekiti State have reaffirmed their unflinching loyalty and support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), describing him as a visionary and youth-friendly leader whose administration has transformed youthful energy into productive enterprise.

The declaration followed a series of peaceful solidarity movements held in daylight across various parts of the state, symbolizing, according to the youths, their confidence, trust, and pride in Governor Oyebanji’s transparent and purposeful leadership.

In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Amb. Olu-Ajayi Maxwell, the youths emphasized that their unwavering support for the governor was rooted in conviction and gratitude for his inclusive and developmental approach to governance.

“Ekiti youths are cultured, well-mannered, and responsible citizens, not instruments of destruction. We will never be part of any misguided movement aimed at destabilizing the peace of our state, especially under a governor who has invested deeply in our growth and future,” Amb. Maxwell stated.

BAO’s Youth-Focused Achievements

Highlighting the governor’s commitment to youth empowerment, Maxwell listed several landmark initiatives introduced under the Oyebanji administration, including:

Ekiti State Youth Policy, a roadmap for innovation, empowerment, and civic participation.
Establishment of the MSME/ICT Hub and a ₦223.8 million Innovation Fund supporting digital entrepreneurship.
₦1 billion cooperative fund and another ₦1 billion partnership with Access Bank and the USADF for youth and women-led cooperatives.
Support for over 922 MSMEs and CAC registration for 5,400 enterprises across the state.
Engagement of over 5,000 youths through the Youth-in-Agric collaboration with YSJ Farms.
Ekiti Start-Up Garage Initiative, equipping young innovators with tech skills and grants.
Adire Ekiti Empowerment Scheme, training over 3,000 youths in creative enterprise.
Ekiti Broilers Production Scheme, engaging more than 150 youths in agribusiness.
Quarterly subventions for registered youth and student bodies.
Massive youth inclusion in governance and appointment of young people into advisory and leadership positions.

“We Walk in the Light of Day”

Amb. Maxwell stressed that all youth solidarity actions for Governor Oyebanji have been held openly and peacefully, reflecting the transparency and optimism that characterize the governor’s relationship with young people.

“We are proud of our governor because he has given us hope, voice, and purpose. All our movements of solidarity are held in broad daylight because we have nothing to hide. Our loyalty is born out of conviction, not convenience. Our future is bright with BAO — today, tomorrow, and beyond 2030,” he said.

The statement concluded with renewed pledges of peace, productivity, and partnership with the Oyebanji-led administration as the youths vowed to continue supporting initiatives that promote innovation, job creation, and prosperity across Ekiti State.
