Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA Set to Commission New Secretariat Complex

The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi, has disclosed that preparations are in top gear for the official commissioning of the council’s new secretariat complex.

Hon. Ajibade made this known while inspecting the newly completed administrative building in Okemesi-Ekiti, alongside members of his media team.

He described the project as a landmark achievement of his administration, designed to provide a modern and conducive workspace for effective service delivery.

“This project was conceived to give Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA a standard and permanent administrative complex that truly reflects the pride and identity of our people,” he said.

The chairman explained that the new facility houses 27 offices, each fitted with toilet facilities, fans, and office furniture to enhance staff productivity and ensure a comfortable working environment.

He added that while the council is collaborating with the Ekiti State Government to extend electricity supply to the new site, his administration has installed a solar power system to guarantee uninterrupted power supply for the complex.

Hon. Ajibade also revealed that a borehole facility has been erected within the secretariat premises to provide a steady water supply for both staff and members of the public who may need access to clean water.

The Chairman expressed appreciation to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his continuous support to local councils and for granting them the autonomy to operate independently in line with his inclusive governance policy.

“I am happy working under a visionary leader who truly believes in grassroots development. Governor Oyebanji has shown that local governments are the foundation of real development,” Ajibade stated.

The new secretariat is expected to be commissioned soon in a ceremony that will be attended by top government officials, community leaders and stakeholders across the LCDA.
