INEC Uploads Over 75% of Anambra Governorship Election Results

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded 75.86 per cent of results from the Anambra State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
Checks by Nigeria News Alert on the IReV portal at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday showed that results from 4,339 out of the 5,720 polling units where the election was conducted had been uploaded.
The update came less than four hours after voting ended across the 21 local government areas of the state.
INEC had earlier assured voters that results would be progressively collated and uploaded from polling units to promote transparency and real-time access to election data.
As of the time of this report, collation officers were still receiving and verifying results at ward and local government collation centres, while security personnel maintained a strong presence to ensure a peaceful and credible process.
Observers commended the timely transmission of results, describing it as a positive sign of improved efficiency in Nigeria’s electoral process.
