…Celebrates Ekiti’s 29 Years of Progress

The Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ekiti State, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi, has congratulated Nigerians on the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary and also felicitated with Ekiti people on the 29th anniversary of the state’s creation.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his media office in Okemesi-Ekiti,Hon. Ajibade hailed the resilience of Nigerians despite current challenges, noting that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration at LG, State and Federal levels has embarked on various developmental projects to improve livelihoods.

The council boss expressed optimism that with sustained reforms, Nigeria would soon witness significant economic growth and strengthened security across all sectors.

“Our collective resolve towards unity and progress is the key to building a prosperous nation, fulfilling the dreams of our founding fathers,” Hon. Ajibade said.

Highlighting ongoing strides in Ekiti State, the council boss noted that projects such as the Ekiti Airport and the Ekiti Knowledge Zone will accelerate economic growth, open up new opportunities and position the state as a hub of innovation and commerce in the Southwest. He described these initiatives as bold steps towards transforming Ekiti into a globally competitive economy.

Hon. Ajibade also called for continuous support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, urging residents of Okemesi and Ido-Ile to rally behind the governor’s second-term bid. According to him, Oyebanji’s administration has brought remarkable achievements to the council and deserves another mandate to consolidate ongoing development across the state.

The council boss urged citizens to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and security-conscious, stressing that no society thrives in an atmosphere of rancour and division.

Hon. Ajibade further admonished Nigerian youths to shun cultism, drug abuse and other social vices, advising them to embrace hard work and discipline in order to contribute meaningfully to national development.

While congratulating Ekiti kete, the council boss reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
