Governor Oyebanji Begins First Annual Leave Since 2022

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State will on Sunday, November 9, 2025, begin a two-week annual leave, his first since assuming office on October 16, 2022.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, said the Governor is expected to resume work on Monday, November 24, 2025.
According to the statement, the leave forms part of the Governor’s statutory annual vacation, adding that Oyebanji will, however, continue to attend to crucial state matters while away.
This marks the first time the Governor will be taking an official break since his inauguration three years ago.
