Gov. Oyebanji Appoints Olubamise as Provost, Approves Other Principal Officers for Ekiti College

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has approved the appointment of Dr Olubamise Olufemi Moses as Provost of the State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, on Friday in Ado-Ekiti.

According to the statement, Olubamise’s appointment followed a rigorous selection process conducted by the Governing Council of the institution. His tenure takes effect from Oct. 2, 2025, succeeding Dr (Mrs) C.O. Adebayo, whose tenure ends on Sept. 30.

Other principal officers whose appointments were also approved by the governor are:

Mr Ayodeji Sunday Emmanuel – Registrar

Mr Dada Olaniyi Kolade – Bursar

Mr Folorunso Femi Joseph – Librarian

Born on Dec. 2, 1975, Olubamise hails from Ijan-Ekiti. He obtained a B.Sc. in Human Physiology from the University of Ilorin in 2001, a PGDE in 2012, an M.Sc. in Health Education in 2017, and a Ph.D. in Health Education in 2023 from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

He joined the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, as a Scientific Officer/Tutor in 2006 and rose through the ranks to become a Chief Lecturer in 2024. Until his new appointment, he was Director of ICT at the institution.

The statement added that the new Provost has participated in several local and international conferences and is a Fellow of the College of Biomedical Engineering.

Oyebanji congratulated the new Provost and other appointees, urging them to work with stakeholders to transform the college into a world-class institution.
