Australia-based Isan-Ekiti-born Engineer, Olaoluwa Dawodu, has commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for what he described as transformational leadership that has turned Ekiti State into a “rising star” within the comity of states.

In a congratulatory message marking the Governor’s third year anniversary in office, Dawodu, a Chartered Professional Engineer and Founder of Tite Knox Pty Ltd, said the administration’s focus on infrastructure, economic growth, and social welfare has earned Ekiti increasing recognition at home and abroad.

According to him, Governor Oyebanji’s achievements over the past three years have not only deepened the foundations of development but also strengthened investor confidence in the state’s future.

He particularly highlighted three major areas of progress:

1. Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport:

Dawodu described the completion and approval for full commercial operations of the airport as a “monumental achievement” that has opened Ekiti to global trade. He said the facility would serve as a key economic gateway, attract investors, reduce logistics costs for exporters, and create hundreds of jobs for the people.

2. Ado-Ekiti Ring Road and Rural Connectivity:

He also commended the ongoing Ado-Ekiti Ring Road (Phase I) and other road projects across the state, noting that improved transport infrastructure would make the movement of agricultural produce faster and cheaper, while enhancing the agricultural value chain and boosting farmers’ income.

3. Health and Social Welfare:

The engineer lauded the administration’s renovation and equipping of health facilities, as well as its inclusive policies for People with Disabilities (PWDs), describing them as hallmarks of responsible and people-centered governance.

“We are witnessing a truly impactful era of leadership under Governor Oyebanji,” Dawodu said. “His commitment to continuity and people-focused projects shows that Ekiti’s future is brighter than ever.”

Dawodu further wished the governor continued success in the discharge of his duties and expressed confidence that the people of Ekiti would continue to support his developmental vision as he prepares for the next political phase.

He reaffirmed his optimism that the Governor’s focus on sustainability, innovation, and inclusiveness would further elevate Ekiti’s profile nationally and internationally.
