The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has assured party members that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state will never succumb to divide and rule tactics ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

Aribasoye, who stormed Ward 10 in Oke Ayedun/Esun Ekiti, his constituency, during a party meeting, said mischief makers seeking to hijack the APC without credible agenda would be resisted by loyal members committed to unity and progress.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker reaffirmed that his constituency remains solidly behind Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), declaring total loyalty to the governor’s second-term project and the larger APC family.

“I must say emphatically that for us in this ward and constituency, we are for Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, BAO 100 Percent. President Tinubu is also our recognised candidate ahead of the bigger election, and APC is the platform we know, not any other emerging or existing political party,” he declared.

The lawmaker urged party faithful to remain united, embrace inclusiveness, and accommodate new entrants, including defectors trooping into the APC across the state.

He stressed that no one should be treated as a stranger in the party, adding that commitment and dedication would determine every member’s growth within the APC.

“Nobody is a newcomer in our party and in this ward. The party is spacious enough to accommodate new entrants and converts. However, your level of input, commitment, and dedication will determine the heights you’ll reach in the party. So, let’s keep working with utmost dedication,” he advised.

Aribasoye also used the occasion to drum up support for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), warning that only possession of a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) validates political participation. He tasked party members to mobilise friends and family to strengthen APC’s voter base.

In a bid to sustain harmony, the Speaker appealed to elders and leaders in Ward 10 to remain united while urging grassroots members to respect the party’s leadership structure.

Community leaders and APC stakeholders at the meeting praised Aribasoye’s efforts in driving voter registration, championing Oyebanji’s development agenda, and facilitating projects that directly benefit constituents.

As part of his grassroots outreach, the Speaker presented cash support to the ward and later proceeded to the community market square, where he patronised traders and distributed food items and financial assistance to residents.
