Ekiti Speaker Inaugurates BAO Primary Campaign Committee in Ikole LG

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has inaugurated the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) Primary Election Campaign Committee for Ikole Local Government Area.
The committee, unveiled on Friday in Ikole, is tasked with mobilizing support to ensure victory for Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election scheduled for October.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, Rt. Hon. Aribasoye presided over the oath-taking of committee members and subgroups, urging them to work diligently and remain loyal to the continuity agenda of the Oyebanji administration.
He said: “Members must not digress from the crux of the mandate, which is the BAO continuity agenda. Loyalty is indispensable in politics, and I encourage you all to mobilize massively for this cause.”
Rt. Hon. Aribasoye further disclosed that a ward tour would soon commence to consolidate the party’s strength across Ikole, urging stakeholders not to lose grip of their territories.
Some leaders at the event cautioned against double-dealing and betrayal, warning that those who mortgage their political conscience would jeopardize their future relevance.
They emphasized the need for unity and genuine collaboration among party members, stressing that only collective responsibility could guarantee the APC’s dominance in Ikole and the state at large.
The Ikole BAO Primary Election Campaign Committee has Hon. Idowu Akinlabi as Secretary and Prince Michael Ogungbemi as Treasurer.
