Ekiti Speaker Commends Oyebanji’s Performance, Urges APC Members on Re-election Drive

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, says lawmakers are impressed with the performance of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) and will support his re-election bid.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Ado-Ekiti by Mr. Babajide Agbeyo, Special Adviser on Media to the Speaker.
According to the statement, Aribasoye spoke on Thursday at the Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti when Oyebanji officially received his Expression of Interest and Nomination Form from the leadership of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association Solidarity Group.
The alumni group had earlier purchased the forms for Oyebanji at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, a gesture described as unique by party members and political observers.
Aribasoye commended Oyebanji’s vision, integrity and performance in critical sectors, noting that his achievements have endeared him to both politicians and the electorate. He added that the willingness of multiple groups to buy nomination forms for the governor at the same period reflects the confidence people have in his leadership.
“BAO is a marketable political product. Party members must return to their units and wards to ensure his good works are projected for continuity and electoral victory,” the Speaker said.
In his remarks, Oyebanji pledged to resist attempts by political gladiators to create crisis within the APC, stressing that his focus remains on peace, progress and development of the state.
Also speaking, the Director-General of the EKSU Alumni Solidarity Group for BAO, Mr. Dipo Bamisaye, said the decision to purchase the forms was to appreciate the governor’s achievements across all sectors of Ekiti State.
