The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has declared that Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is on course for a smooth victory in the October governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Aribasoye, who accompanied the governor and other top party leaders to the APC screening exercise at Amor Hotel, Abuja, described the process as a clear sign of the governor’s wide acceptance within the party. He said Oyebanji’s impressive credentials and performance in office made the exercise a “bow and go” session.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker urged APC members to remain committed and united ahead of the primary, stressing that the groundwork would also strengthen the governor’s chances in the 2025 general election.
He appealed to aspirants within and outside the ruling party to pursue their ambitions with respect and maturity, warning that no individual interest should override the collective progress of Ekiti State.
Aribasoye also prayed for divine strength and wisdom for Governor Oyebanji, noting that his administration has already set a strong foundation for sustainable development and growth in the state.
