Ekiti Speaker Aribasoye Hails Ekiti Deputy Governor as Icon of Dignity, Loyalty

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has described the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Christiana Afuye (MCA), as “a true icon of feminine dignity and political loyalty.”
In a birthday congratulatory statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, on Sunday, Aribasoye lauded Mrs Afuye for her disciplined character, unswerving loyalty, and consistent commitment to community development and governance.
The Speaker said: “I’m personally impressed by the stabilizing role you’ve played in our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). You have given utmost support to the governor, and you have not shown any tendency of rocking the boat of development.”
Aribasoye further highlighted the party’s tradition of entrusting women of impact with the deputy governorship seat, noting that their loyalty had remained a cornerstone of political stability in Ekiti.
“Disloyalty is cancerous, and this could crash a system or structure unnoticed. But for our party, we’ve always been blessed with loyal deputy governors, and the female ones have been particularly outstanding, including today’s celebrant,” he added.
Praying for long life and good health for Mrs Afuye, the Speaker wished her sustained grace and immeasurable blessings as she marks another year.
He also expressed optimism that the birthday celebration would be crowned with victory for the Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and the Deputy Governor in next month’s APC governorship primary and the subsequent election.
