Ekiti Speaker Aribasoye Congratulates Oyebanji on Third Year Anniversary, Seeks Re-election Support

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) on the occasion of his third year anniversary in office, describing him as a consensus leader whose achievements have transformed the state’s development landscape.
In a statement signed by Mr. Babajide Agbeyo, Special Adviser (Media) to the Speaker on Thursday, Aribasoye commended the governor for his exemplary leadership, humility, and people-centred governance that have earned him broad-based acceptance across political lines.
He said the Oyebanji administration had shown uncommon commitment to the economic and social advancement of Ekiti, particularly in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and security.
“Your Excellency, you have delivered on your mandate and mantra, and I am strongly convinced that Ekiti people are solidly behind you. Your impact across critical sectors has added value to the lives of our people through economic development, improved security, and the enhancement of our collective pride as a people,” the Speaker said.
Aribasoye noted that the governor’s inclusive style of leadership had strengthened unity and rekindled citizens’ trust in governance. He commended Oyebanji’s ability to rally the support of past governors and opposition leaders, describing it as unprecedented in the state’s political history.
“This is the first time an incumbent governor would enjoy such wide acceptance, with even opposition figures openly supporting his administration. It speaks volumes of his sincerity, humility, and vision,” he added.
The Speaker further described Oyebanji’s second-term ambition as both divine and popularly endorsed, noting that it represents a natural continuation of the progressive ideals driving the administration’s performance.
He said the governor’s deep understanding of Ekiti’s development blueprint, having served as a member of the team that worked for the creation of the state, has made him uniquely positioned to sustain its growth trajectory.
Aribasoye, therefore, called on Ekiti citizens to reward the governor’s performance with re-election during next year’s governorship poll, stressing that continuity would ensure the consolidation of current achievements.
“Re-electing Governor Oyebanji would be to the utmost advantage of our people and the progress of the state,” he said.
