The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated former governor Ayodele Fayose on his 65th birthday, describing him as a major figure whose role in the political evolution of Ekiti State cannot be overlooked.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker said Fayose’s journey to 65 reflects God’s grace, noting that only divine favour could guarantee such milestone in good health and sound mind.
Rt. Hon. Aribasoye hailed the former governor as a famous politician, a successful family man and a regular newsmaker who “means different things to different people” but has maintained a prominent place in the history of Ekiti politics.
“As a man who has been governor twice in this state, your place in history cannot be underplayed. The story of governance and politics in Ekiti State definitely cannot be complete without your name and records,” he said.
The Speaker also commended Fayose for aligning with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration beyond party lines, describing it as a politically sound decision and a demonstration of his well-known firmness and boldness.
According to him, Fayose’s open support for Governor Oyebanji is a reflection of the incumbent’s performance, character and his ability to unite former governors for the progress of the state.
Rt. Hon. Aribasoye prayed for continued grace and long life for the former governor as he marks his 65th birthday.
