The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe and the people of Ado Ekiti on this year’s edition of Udiroko Festival.

In a goodwill message signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker described the annual cultural event as a platform for retrospection, prayers, homage, unity and productive networking.

Aribasoye applauded the monarch for providing sterling leadership over the years and for facilitating key developmental projects in Ado Ekiti, which he noted remains the strategic capital of Ekiti State. He stated that the festival continues to bring indigenes together to celebrate their heritage, strengthen bonds, and showcase the values of the town to the world.

The Speaker also identified personally with the people of Ado Ekiti, revealing that his wife is a princess from the two ruling houses of the ancient city. “Together, we celebrate this annual moment and greatly congratulate Your Royal Majesty for witnessing yet another edition. You are a rallying point, a father of all, a promoter of development, and a responsible leader,” he said.

He further commended the notable contributions of Ado Ekiti indigenes to the development of the state and the nation in diverse fields such as economic growth, politics, education, security, and community advancement. According to him, the town has produced exemplary personalities whose achievements continue to make Ekiti and Nigeria proud.

Aribasoye prayed for Oba Adejugbe’s long life in good health and for the continuous prosperity of Ado Ekiti. He expressed hope that the monarch’s reign would continue to bring peace, development, and progress to the town. “Kabiesi, may your reign continue to birth hope, development, progress, and immense benefits in Ado Ekiti. I pray you continue to lead with sound mind and in good health for many years ahead. May the glory of Ado Ekiti never go dim,” the Speaker prayed.
