Ekiti Govt Hails Peaceful APC Delegate Election, Celebrates Oyebanji’s Consensus Candidacy

The Ekiti State Government has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and transparent conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegate election, which produced Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as the party’s consensus candidate for the forthcoming governorship election.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, the government commended party delegates, stakeholders, and members across the 16 local government areas for their unity, discipline, and loyalty to the progressive ideals of the APC.

“The outcome of the delegate election reflects the people’s confidence in Governor Oyebanji’s visionary leadership, inclusive governance, and developmental achievements across sectors. His endorsement as consensus candidate is well-deserved and a testament to the enduring trust and goodwill he enjoys among party members and citizens,” Olatunbosun said.

The Special Adviser hailed the Governor’s humility, focus, and dedication to good governance, noting that in less than three years, his administration has recorded remarkable results in infrastructure, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, and social investment.

He further described the affirmation as a victory for all Ekiti people, adding that Governor Oyebanji has not only sustained the progressive legacy of the APC but also raised the bar of excellence through transparency and people-centered policies.

Olatunbosun also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, the media, and the APC Primary Election Committee led by Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for their professionalism and neutrality in ensuring a credible and peaceful process.

He lauded the APC leadership at state and national levels for upholding internal democracy and harmony, describing the process as a model of unity and maturity worthy of emulation across Nigeria.

The government urged party members and citizens to continue supporting Governor Oyebanji’s administration as it consolidates on achievements and pursues a shared vision of a greater and more prosperous Ekiti State.
