Ekiti APC: A United System That Rewards Loyalty, Punishes Arrogance -

I have said this before and I’d say it again. APC in Ekiti has a system. From outside, it looks like an open house. Like it’s very porous, scattered, and free for all. But once you step inside, you’ll realize it’s tighter than a drum. The bolts are firm like a mechanic had used 12/13 spanner, and the keys are not for everybody.

Dr. Fayemi had said in the City of Praise (Iyin) that Omo mo Bàbá è (the child knows his father). Yes, uncles may be generous, and elder brothers may be protective, but the father’s place can never be taken. However, Ìyá Ìjo mo iye omo tó bí (The mother-general knows how many children she birthed from her womb).

I meet many party members over the months while doing the gospel of Ekiti APC according to JKF. Some are very angry, some bitter, some feeling sidelined. They complain that certain people in government have shut them out. I always tell them one thing: this system is big enough to accommodate everyone. In politics, interests will always clash. What matters is how we manage those clashes without tearing down the house we all belong to.

Let me drop another truth here: not everyone in BAO-1 will make BAO-2. That’s politics of the system. Not all elected official will return. Even those who had gone or visiting Egypt to look for Powers. Those whom I’d refer to as Demma (who left Paul because of temporary pleasure of this time).

Some people have spent these past years insulting leaders, fighting unnecessary battles, and digging pits for themselves. They should not expect the system to reward such behaviour, WHEN THE TIME COMES. Politics resets, and the game humbles those who think it will always remain the same.

Now, about caucuses and new tendencies here and there, you cannot wave away the influence of Dr. Kayode Fayemi in the APC of Nigeria. Whether people like it or not, no Abuja power block, no new tendency, can ignore him, particularly, once it comes to Ekiti. Politics is local. Always local. Fayemi stands as Àrólé Otunba Niyi Adebayo. He is the heir of the foundation, the living face of the system. Accept it or fight it, that’s the truth.

And when the time comes, lukewarm characters will be put where they belong. The system knows how to reward loyalty, discipline, and patience. It also knows how to humble recklessness and arrogance.

When I mean Lukewarm characters, I do not mean those supporting Kayode Ojo, here. They have every right to support anyone they choose. Afterall, Nobody’s ambition is superior to another. Ìbí kò ju ìbí. Just don’t tear down the house. Promote your candidate in peace. So that after we have defeated your candidate, we will be able to work together for the Governor’s general election. But remember that leadership is to “provide direction”. And when people don’t follow direction, they stray.

Follow who know road… e get why!

The lukewarm characters I am referring to are those who are beneficiaries of the structure and the system, yet playing roles to tear it apart. Those who are pushing people out, instead of bringing people in. Those who are plotting the fall of “our” leaders and the establishment. Those who are engaging in anti-democratic activities that are unknown to our Party. Those who have had a cut and wants to throw the cake away. Those who wants to move the Supreme temple away from General Adebayo’s House. The most dangerous, are those who are “sitting on the fence”. Àwón tí kò lè sojú d’ébi pé wón á sèyìn.

Whatever we do, history always takes note.

Rather, let’s build this party together. That thing you are looking for, be assured you will get it, if ONLY WE ARE A UNITED SYSTEM.
