BAO Promoters Hail Nigerians, Ekiti People on Independence, State Creation Anniversary

The BAO Promoters group has congratulated the people of Ekiti State and Nigerians at large on the celebration of the nation’s 65th Independence anniversary and the 29th anniversary of Ekiti State’s creation.
In a goodwill message signed by its convener, Olupitan B. Adebayo, the group commended the resilience and unity of the Ekiti people while appreciating the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji for fostering peace and development across the state.
“Ekiti is a land of honour, rich heritage, and extraordinary intellect. As we mark this dual celebration, let us be reminded that the dream of a better Ekiti and a greater Nigeria is not only alive—it is within reach,” the statement read.
The group acknowledged the challenges faced over the years but urged indigenes at home and abroad to remain hopeful and contribute to the growth of their towns, villages, and communities.
“We must choose unity over division, purpose over despair, and courage over fear. Together, we can build an Ekiti where opportunity is not a privilege but a right, and shape a Nigeria where justice, equity, and peace reign,” the group added.
The statement concluded by calling for renewed commitment to good leadership, youth empowerment, and the preservation of Ekiti’s core values.
