Aribasoye Celebrates Ewi of Ado Ekiti at 80, Hails Monarch’s Noble Leadership

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, on his 80th birthday and 35th coronation anniversary, describing him as one of the most noble and accomplished monarchs in the country.
According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker said Oba Adejugbe deserves to be celebrated for building an enduring reputation of responsibility, intellect and purposeful leadership over the years.
Aribasoye, who conveyed his personal felicitation as well as that of his wife, said the royal father has remained a stabilising force in Ado Ekiti through his wise counsel, commitment to unity and consistent defence of the cultural values of the kingdom.
He said the monarch’s leadership style has earned him deep respect, loyalty and admiration among the people, adding that every year of his reign has brought progress and honour to Ado Ekiti.
“Kabiyesi, your years are not wasted years. You have maximised every day on earth and on the throne for impact, transformation and historic strides. Your reign has brought growth, dignity and value to Ado Ekiti at home and abroad,” the Speaker said.
Aribasoye also recalled the monarch’s significant role in the agitation that produced Ekiti State, noting that Oba Adejugbe’s courage and foresight remain recorded in the state’s history.
He prayed for more strength, wisdom and fulfilment for the monarch and expressed confidence that the Ewi’s reign would continue to bring peace and prosperity to Ado Ekiti and the entire state.
