ANTP Speaks on Rumoured Death of Veteran Actor, Lere Paimo

Fresh clarification has emerged from the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners following rumours about the supposed death of veteran actor Olalere OsunPaimo popularly known as Eda Onile Ola.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the National Public Relations Officer, Adejonwo Oluwafemi, the association confirmed that the renowned thespian is alive and in stable condition.
Information from the actor’s family also reaffirmed his wellbeing after his wife personally validated that he remains healthy.
Reports alleging his death circulating on Facebook were described as completely false and attributed to individuals intent on misleading the public.
The association appealed to Nigerians to always cross-check information before sharing, stressing that unverified posts contribute to the spread of misinformation.
A reminder was also issued urging the public to rely on credible sources whenever news concerning public figures or sensitive issues emerges.
