Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Wednesday received a resounding show of solidarity as he submitted his nomination form at the National Secretariat of the ruling party in Abuja.

The governor was accompanied by a powerful delegation, including a former governor of the state, Otunba Niyi Adebayo Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Former Deputy Governors, serving and past members of the National Assembly, Ekiti State House of Assembly members led by its Speaker Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) members and representatives from all sectors of Ekiti society.

Party officials described the event as unprecedented, noting it was the first time such an array of political heavyweights would converge in unity for a single aspirant.

Photographs from the event captured the governor standing shoulder-to-shoulder with political leaders and supporters in a rare display of cohesion ahead of the coming election.
