The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has earned commendation for its transparent and constitutionally guided management of the party’s affairs in Ekiti State ahead of the forthcoming governorship primary election.
Political stakeholders and observers across the state have applauded the NWC for demonstrating courage, fairness, and a firm commitment to the rule of law in resolving issues involving Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Engr. Kayode Ojo, and other aspirants.
They described the NWC’s decision as a timely reaffirmation of the party’s supremacy and a clear signal that discipline and democratic principles remain the foundation of the APC’s internal operations.
Ekiti Advancement Frontier Commends NWC’s Impartiality
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti Advancement Frontier (EAF) lauded the NWC for maintaining impartiality, constitutional order, and respect for internal due process.
The group said the committee’s principled approach had brought renewed calm and credibility to the political atmosphere in Ekiti ahead of the October 27 governorship primary.
“The National Working Committee has displayed remarkable courage and fairness in its decisions. It has restored confidence in the APC as a party of discipline, equity, and order,” the statement read in part.
EAF urged all aspirants and party members to put the collective interest of the party and state above personal ambition, adding that a peaceful, credible, and transparent primary election remains critical to the APC’s unity and electoral strength in 2026.
Oyebanji’s Leadership Style Strengthens Party Cohesion
Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji was also praised for his inclusive, people-centred, and loyal leadership, which has helped to consolidate internal harmony and strengthen the APC’s structure in Ekiti.
Described by analysts as a leader who embodies humility and political maturity, Oyebanji has continued to promote continuity and shared prosperity across the state, a key factor, they say, in the party’s growing grassroots support.
Observers also noted that while other aspirants, including Engr. Kayode Ojo, have displayed sportsmanship and respect for due process, the prevailing peace and mutual respect in the build-up to the primary election highlight the NWC’s effective management of party affairs.
EAF Calls for Unity and Peaceful Primary
The Ekiti Advancement Frontier appealed to all APC stakeholders to remain united and avoid divisive politics, stressing that the NWC’s impartial handling of the pre-primary process has positioned the APC as a model of internal democracy.
“With Governor Oyebanji’s steady leadership and the NWC’s fairness, Ekiti APC remains a beacon of progress and good governance, a true reflection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” the group concluded.
