The Ekiti Advancement Frontiers (EAF), a socio-political and developmental group, has declared its full support for the re-election bid of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, announcing the commencement of a statewide tour of senatorial districts beginning today, Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, the group’s Convener, Dr. Adedeji Oso, said the tour will involve engagements with critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), community leaders, and vulnerable groups across the state’s 16 local government areas.
According to Oso, the tour will kick off in the Ekiti South Senatorial District, which comprises six local government areas, before moving to Ekiti North on Thursday, October 9, and parts of Ekiti Central on Friday, October 10. The grand finale, he noted, will hold in Ado-Ekiti at a later date.
Dr. Oso said the EAF’s mission is to mobilize massive grassroots support to ensure the continuity of Governor Oyebanji’s administration beyond 2026.
“Governor Oyebanji has proven to be a promise keeper and a performer whose governance shoes are too big for any contender to fit in. We will continue to mobilize our people across the state to return a tested and trusted leader,” Oso said.
As part of the statewide tour, the group will distribute relief materials worth ₦20 million, including over 500 bags of 5kg rice and 500 bags of 5kg garri, to the elderly, widows, and less privileged persons.
In addition, each vulnerable beneficiary will receive ₦10,000 in cash, while billboards promoting Oyebanji’s “Shared Prosperity” agenda will be mounted across the state.
Oso emphasized that the group’s intervention aligns with the governor’s people-focused welfare programmes such as Ounjẹ Ekiti, fertilizer subsidies, tractorization support for farmers, and direct cash transfers to the vulnerable.
He added that the EAF will continue to support initiatives that promote transparency, inclusive governance, and community participation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“EAF stands solidly behind Governor Oyebanji because of his character, integrity, and results. We are calling on APC stakeholders in Ekiti to rally behind this administration to sustain the progress already achieved,” Oso added.
