Osun 2026: Omisore Set to Officially Declare Governorship Ambition

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, will on October 7, 2025, officially declare his intention to contest the 2026 governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Omisore disclosed the plan in a post on his official X handle at the weekend, confirming that the declaration will hold at the APC state secretariat in Osogbo.
Themed “Fix the Broken, Restore Our Dreams”, the declaration will serve as the formal unveiling of his campaign agenda.
The former lawmaker, who represented Osun East Senatorial District between 2003 and 2011, said his aspiration was rooted in a vision to restore hope and strengthen governance.
“This mission is not mine alone but a collective one. Together, we can rebuild Osun, deliver good governance, and create a brighter future for our people,” Omisore wrote.
