Ekiti Speaker Celebrates MHR Bamisile at 60, Describes Him as a Legislative Colossus
The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has congratulated federal lawmaker and former state Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Femi Bamisile, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker thanked God for preserving the life of Bamisile, describing the milestone as a moment of grace despite the hurdles of life.
Rt. Hon. Aribasoye hailed Bamisile, who once led the Third Ekiti Assembly, as a trailblazer whose leadership continues to inspire lawmakers across the state.
“BAFEM is one of our mentors in the business of lawmaking, having led the Third Assembly in our noble state. He led the popular 13–13 Assembly, which was considered very keen, engaging, cerebral, and independent,” the Speaker said.
Rt. Hon. Aribasoye commended the lawmaker’s political dexterity, resilience, and commitment to excellence, noting that his contributions have shaped Ekiti’s legislative and political history.
The Speaker prayed for God’s continuous grace and wisdom upon Bamisile as he continues to serve the nation as a politician, family man, and now an elder statesman.
“MHR BAFEM, you are undoubtedly a motivator for the generation behind. Amid your very loaded schedule, it is quite cheering that you even recently bagged a PhD in Public Sector Governance and Administration, very close to your 60th birthday. This has indeed created a befitting achievement to complement this added year,” Rt. Hon. Aribasoye added.
He further urged younger politicians in Ekiti and beyond to learn from Bamisile’s consistency, resilience, and service-driven leadership, describing his life as a living testimony that true leadership is built on values.
